Welcome MIDI Designer users to our 94th update to the App Store's best MIDI controller: MIDI Designer Pro X (10.5.0). Introducing Sysex Strings! This is a huge for managing patch, kit and sample names on devices from Roland, Yamaha and others that speak Sysex. Check out the fabulous docs and example from Kenyon at mididesigner.com/qa/10103. Big ups and gratitude to him for designing this feature from the ground up and advocating for it, gently, for over a year. We've also revamped and future-proofed all sysex storage, sending and receiving. This release also provides a new option for play-mode: a button to toggle MIDI receive (to protect existing sysex strings in play mode). Also, coming soon: 14-bit "L" channel in sysex.
